Previously, on November 6th local time, the Office of the United States Trade Representative announced that all punitive measures taken against China due to the "Section 301" trade investigation would be suspended for one year starting from November 10th. The comment period ends on Friday afternoon (the 7th) local time.

During the implementation of the aforementioned actions, the Office of the United States Trade Representative stated that the United States will continue to promote domestic reforms and consult with its major allies and partners on strategies to revitalize the US shipbuilding industry.
